NASA Bash Tournament

NASA Bash 2025: Feb 22-23

The NASA Bash JVA Southern Challenge Tournament - North Alabama's largest club volleyball competition – is sponsored by Huntsville Hospital and TOC Sports. NASA has once again partnered with the Junior Volleyball Association (JVA) and is one of a select group of 12 JVA Challenge Series which are 2-3 day tournaments hosted by JVA member clubs and designed to provide visibility for JVA across the country. JVA Challenge Events are sanctioned by JVA and therefore teams of any affiliation are welcome to play: AAU, USAV, JVA.

The Bash will again be held in beautiful downtown Huntsville in the South Hall of the Von Braun Center, where the region's best teams will compete on 16 courts all under one roof.

Register: 

Teams will not be considered accepted until payment is received. Payments by check to NASA VBC, 219 Wildflower Court, Huntsville, AL 35811. If your fee is not received by this date your team will be replaced with a wait-listed team. Teams will not be accepted only by registration time stamp. Please see the Acceptance Criteria for additional information.

Parking rate is $5-$10 per event.
There are multiple events the weekend of the BASH, including Huntsville Havoc hockey. Please check the parking map and leave plenty of time to arrive and park.

Hotel Information- VERY IMPORTANT

We have partnered with TRAVELING TEAMS® to secure discounted room blocks at a variety of tournament approved hotels close to our venues. It is highly encouraged that all teams traveling to this event reserve their hotel accommodations through TRAVELING TEAMS®. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and helping us to continue to offer an amazing tournament for the southeast!

 

 

Trainers

Our Bash Sponsors, Huntsville Hospital Sports Center and TOC Sports, are providing certified trainers during the Bash. Please look for their tent and the trainer table near court 2. Emergency medical staff are also onsite at the same location.

 

College Recruiting

We once again expect college coaches to be recruiting at the tournament. For teams that wish to have their recruitable athletes included in a recruiting package, please make sure player information is entered into AES on the roster to include: Name, Jersey Number, Position(s), Height, L/R Handed, and Graduation Year, and if available, Jump Height/Reach.

College Recruiters, please contact connievb114@gmail.com with your school and contact information. If pre-registered, lunch will be provided on Saturday and Sunday.

 

Bash Concessions, etc.

 

FOOD & DRINK
The Von Braun Center (VBC) will again offer a variety of food and concession items.  Absolutely no outside food or drink is allowed.  Separate drink carts and coffee stations throughout the venue open at 7AM. Players may bring their own water bottle in their gear bag.

CHAIRS
Outside chairs are allowed only in the lobby area, per the VBC Security; however, the VBC provides numerous courtside chairs as well as a large team gathering area in the South Hall.

COOLERS
The VBC policy prohibits coolers in the convention center.  Please leave them in your cars.

LOST and FOUND
The tournament desk will hold lost and found items for the duration of the tournament.  The VBC & NASA are not responsible for any unattended valuables. Lost and Found is located next to the Results Computer stations.

Inclement Weather Policy

NASA Big Spring Bash will not be cancelled due to weather. It is the decision of each coach and/or club whether their team should attempt to travel to a tournament during inclement weather. Teams deciding not to attend the NASA Big Spring Bash will not receive a refund of their tournament entry fee. In addition, those teams must notify the NASA Tournament Director prior to the tournament that they will not participate should they decide to not to attend.
